For example, we store data when you visit our website, create an account and/or make reservations. Because we attach great importance to your privacy, your personal data is processed and secured carefully. In doing so, Fontana is in compliance with the personal data protection laws and regulations. In this privacy statement, we explain which personal data we collect, why we collect it, and who we may share it with. We may amend the privacy statement from time to time, in which case we will notify you by e-mail or through other electronic means.

The entity responsible for processing personal data within the meaning of the law is Fontana (Bronnenbad Nieuweschans-Bunde B.V.), established in (9693 GA) Bad Nieuweschans at Weg naar de Bron 3-9, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 02324292.

When does this privacy statement apply? This privacy statement applies to all personal data that Fontana processes from visitors to the website and users of services and products. By using our website and/or services and products, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with this privacy statement.

If you are under 16 years of age, you may only submit information to our website with the consent of a parent or guardian who has read this privacy statement. We kindly ask you not to submit any personal data to our website without this permission.

This privacy statement does not apply to the use and processing of personal data by third party websites that can be accessed via hyperlinks.

What data do we collect and why? The data we collect includes your personal details, address, gender, date of birth, email address, telephone number, customer number, reservation details, IP address, and details of your visit to our website, including cookies and the details you enter in the contact form.

We collect this data for identification purposes, to confirm reservations, and to be able to execute the agreement, e.g. to keep you informed of the status of your reservation and to ensure that the reservation is made in the correct name and to check whether you are of the correct age for certain packages. We also use the contact details for our customer service department and to inform users of developments and information about our products and services, e.g. by sending out newsletters. The information from the contact form is used for identification purposes and to respond to any messages.

When you visit the website, we collect statistics and information about your visit to the website with the help of cookies (see below). We may also use cookies (see below) for selected parties to show personal offers on the website and track your behaviour. We use this data to improve our products, services, and website and to contact you more personally.

You can use a chat function on our website. We use third party services for this. More information about the chat privacy can be found at: https://www.livechatinc.com/privacy-policy.

Do we use cookies? We use various permanent and session cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is saved on your computer, smartphone, or other device when you visit our website. Session cookies are deleted after closing the browser, and relate to a single visit. We recognise recurring visitors to our website using permanent cookies, which, depending on the type of cookie, are saved for a number of years.

Functional or essential cookies Essential and functional cookies are used to facilitate visits to our website and to remember your settings and preferences when returning, such as language chosen, packages chosen, and your preferences.

Social media cookies By allowing social media cookies/plug-ins, we give you the ability to use functionality from things such as Facebook and Twitter when you are logged in to these social media platforms. These parties place cookies via their own pieces of code on our website and they receive your IP address. We have no influence on the further use of these products by these third parties. For more information, please see the respective third party’s privacy policy.

Analytical cookies Analytical cookies are used for research on website visits. For example, we keep track of how you visit our website (device-specific data, operating system, network data, and anonymous IP address), how often and how long you spend on certain pages and your click and surf behaviour. We use third party cookies for this purpose, such as Google Analytics and Hotjar cookies. This data is not linked to your name, address, or e-mail address, but is only used to gain access to the visit to our website and to adapt the layout of our website accordingly. We have no influence on the further use of these products by these third parties. For more information, please see the respective third party's privacy policy.

Advertisement cookies We allow third parties to place advertising cookies on our website within their network. These cookies allow for customised ads to be placed on your personal profile. To this end, we use Facebook's services (Custom Audience), which can then combine this data with data they receive from your visits to other websites on their network in order to map your surfing behaviour and further personalise advertisements. We have no influence on the further use of these products by these third parties. For more information, please see the respective third party’s privacy policy.

Erasing and blocking cookies Session cookies are automatically deleted after each visit. You can delete permanent cookies at any time through your browser settings. You can also use the browser settings to block cookies. Blocking and/or deleting cookies may result in the Fontana website no longer (fully) functioning. For more information about blocking and deleting cookies, please refer to your browser’s manual and settings.

How long do we store personal data? Your personal data will not be kept longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes for which they were collected. Please refer to the section on cookies in this privacy statement for cookie retention periods. You can request Fontana to delete or modify data at any time.

Fontana may choose not to immediately delete certain personal data if such data can reasonably contribute to Fontana's objectives or if this is required for Fontana’s statutory retention periods, and if the retention of such data does not disproportionately infringe on your privacy.

Newsletter If you have indicated or consented to this at the time of your reservation, we may use your e-mail address to send newsletters containing information about Fontana products, services, or offers. To make these newsletters as relevant and personal as possible, we may use your personal behaviour on the website for this.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter.

What parties have access to what data? We do not provide personal data to third parties. However, Fontana does use suppliers and partners to perform its services, as a result of which personal data is shared. These third parties include: - IT partners who provide the hosting and maintenance of our website and our systems; - Other partners whose cookies, plug-ins, applications, and/or other software we use on the website (see the section on cookies); - Other third parties necessary for the execution of our services and products (suppliers, delivery services, postal service, providers, etc.).

Insofar as reasonably possible, Fontana guarantees that these third parties process the data in accordance with this privacy statement and only use it for the agreed purpose.

Except in the cases described in this privacy statement, we never sell, distribute, or lease your personal data without permission to third parties for the purpose of using the data for direct marketing purposes. Fontana will only provide personal data to regulators, tax authorities, and investigative bodies if it is legally obligated to do so. In such cases, Fontana will, within reason, take necessary and appropriate measures to ensure that your data is protected to the best of its ability.

How do we protect your personal data? Fontana handles your personal data with care. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, or unlawful use, which are reasonable with regard to the costs involved and the nature of the personal data.

For example, the data you enter via the website is encrypted and transmitted via a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection, and the data is stored on secure Fontana or third-party servers.
